Painswick Community Library is an independent charity run entirely by volunteers. We are supported by a grant from Gloucestershire County Council under the Big Community Offer.

The Library is linked to the Gloucestershire County Library online catalogue. Books can be reserved online and delivered for collection to the Library. Books borrowed from County libraries can be returned to Painswick.

There are four People's Network Computers which are available for use free of charge. There is a network printer for which a charge is made per copy printed. Printing and photocopying is available in colour or black & white. Two-sided (duplex) printing and photocopying is also available.

A wifi hub is available free of charge.

A current Gloucestershire County Library card is required in order to borrow books or to use the computers. To apply for a library card click on the following link:

Click on "Join, Update your membership details" and follow the on-screen instructions.

If your existing card is out of date it can be renewed at the library.
